When the capital shifting “Tooth relic” also shift with them. King “Wimala suriya 1” originaly built (1592) a two storied temple for the relic, after king “Wimala Dharma Suriya 2” built a three storied temple and his son king “Viraparakrama Narendra sinha” the last Sinhala king build a new two storied temple, that the older temple built by his father has decayed. The last king of Sri Lanka “Sri Wickramarajasinha” built the Octagon.

Kandy Royal Botanical garden was started during the gampola period in 1371 AD, and it was used as a pleasure garden only by the Royal families. During the British period Mr. “Alexander moon” opened it for public in 1821. Also used as research plantation center…
